Svetislav Rajsic was born in 1962, in Subotica, the same place where he lives and works today. His interest in music began at an early age, when he spent a short period composing music and lyrics for the band Titanik, which was formed in 1980. After this, he had to give up music for a long time, because of his studies, employment and the professional career which built for over two decades, but this period ended when, twenty eight years later, he founded his second band, Pastir, with the help of his friends Branko Benis and Bob Mataruga. Interestingly, Pastir's first CD, Boginja cednosti and second CD Kameni pas contains some music and lyrics that the band Titanik had practiced but never managed to record. Maybe this is why many people feel there's a a certain retro style to some of their songs on their first and second albums.
Stefan Rajsic was born in 1991 in Subotica. He lives and attends the Faculty of Law in Novi Sad, and Pastir is his first band.
Branko Benis lives and works in Subotica, where he was born in 1969. He began drumming around age thirteen and soon afterwards he joined his friends who sometimes played live music on parties and local community dances. With his brother, Zlatko, he founded the band Anno Domini in 1985. When this band retired in 1988, he joins Bolid, another band from Subotica, touring Vojvodina and Hungary to promote their first album. (Bolid, Panonija concert 1989.) In the nineties, Branko and Zlatko revive the band Anno Domini, producing the single Pogledaj-uzmi me sad (M Records 1993.), and dissolving again. After that, they joined Robert Tili in the band Robert Tilly and cold shit and record the album First bite (Good taste records, 1995.) Next year, he transfers to the band Dingo Express and helps promote their first album: Usi od somota (ITV Melomarket, 1997). In 2002, Dingo Express records and produces its second album, Buzdovan boogie (One records 2002). Due to other obligations, he pauses his involvement in music, until his return as a founder and member of Pastir in 2008.
Bogoljub Mataruga was born in Subotica in 1968, and he lives and works in Subotica today. Since his early childhood, he's been fascinated by music, and has been the bass guitarist in various bands: Anno Domini from Subotica ('Sva ta muzika' concert), Cokoladno srce, Sedam patuljaka, Amor, Triler and Pastir. In Pastir, he also shares his expertise on arranging sound.
